International Women's Day 2019 

The 2019 campaign theme is ‘Balance for Better’ -  that a gender-balanced world is a better world - as well as celebrating women's achievement.
Women were active in the early church. From the birth, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus women were significantly involved. Matthew, Mark and Luke all record that a substantial group of women had followed Jesus in his Galilean ministry. Paul himself says in Galatians 3:28, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Jesus demonstrated that while men and women may have different roles in their service to God, neither one is more valuable than the other. You can't get better balanced than that!
