Covid-19
Dear Friends
Time continues to march on and yet another week has passed. I hope that you are staying safe and well and managing to keep in touch with your family and friends. We continue to make progress with reducing the transmission of Coronavirus and the numbers of new infections are starting to slow. We continue with hope and prayer that in the near future some of the physical distancing measures will be further relaxed and we may be able to come together again in person and meet at Church.
We come to the end of a very unusual Christian Aid Week, this is the first time in 75 years that collection envelopes have not been used and this year Christian Aid is instead relying on donations made online. Their website provides many wonderful stories of the difference that donations make to people around the World and this year their focus is on Love. I have included some brief text from their website below and a link to donate if you feel able.
“As this virus spreads across the world, love rises up in response. You’ve already shown incredible kindness to your neighbours. Now is the time to reach out to your neighbours both near and far. Your love protects. From storms, from drought, and now from coronavirus. Your love protects our global neighbours battling the spread of this illness. Your love protects. With soap, clean water and medical supplies”
By supporting Christian Aid Week, you can reach out and protect more of your neighbours today. Please donate now and save lives here
I hope that you may have now had the opportunity to look at the prayer journal – Jesus Loves All, which leads us through a prayer journey which commences next week on Ascension Day 21st May and ends at Pentecost on 31st May. Please try to use the booklet daily which includes a short passage from the Bible, a brief reflection, a prayer and a suggestion for action. If you would like further copies of the booklet for your family or friends please contact me. During this period you can join a daily 20 minute service each evening at 7pm which will be led by Ministers, Local Preachers or Worship Leaders from the Circuit. If you want to join this please use the zoom or phone details below.
The details and the link are also those to join the Sunday Morning Service this week at 11am
