... Climate Change.
Whilst reading 'The earth is The LORD's' Prayer Handbook, I was shocked to see 1.25 billion animals died in bush fires in Australia. Climate change is also affecting the poorest people causing flooding, drought and refugees from hunger and crop failure. Climate, Fairtrade and You is the name of Fairtrade Fortnight this year. So I attended a zoom meeting organised by the Joint Public Issues Team lead by very well informed young Christians who have been holding Climate Sunday services since 2020. These are Christians from every denomination joining together to encourage us to do something. My husband and I immediately signed 'The Time Is Now'. It is a voice to tell politicians that we want a cleaner, greener, fairer future
at the heart of plans to rebuild a strong economy. If the Covid pandemic comes to manageable levels, perhaps it is time to nurse this amazing planet back to good health. May the LORD enable us the wisdom to do this ... just as he has resolved all our mistakes and disasters of the past.
