A Letter from Rev Linda
Dear Friends,
Last Sunday we recalled how the crowds and followers of Jesus celebrated as he rode into Jerusalem and they cried ‘Hosanna’. On Good Friday, the crowds turned their cheers into cries of ‘Crucify Him’ and we heard how Jesus was beaten and crucified on the Cross – a time of great sadness. On Easter morning we will watch as the followers find Jesus alive and so our sadness turns into great joy for Jesus Christ is Risen. Our traditional Easter Response is: Allelujah! Christ is Risen. He is risen indeed! Allelujah!
A meditation for Easter Day:
Hope burst through the door, light flooded through the window
He was alive
The impossible had happened for they had seen him die
and no one could doubt he had died but now he was alive
Hope burst through the door, light flooded through the window
He greeted her in the garden, He met them in the room
He walked and talked with them on the road,
He broke bread with them and made breakfast on the beach.
He was alive
Hope burst through the door, light flooded through the window
He greets us in the garden, He meets us in the room,
He walks and talks with us on the road
He comes to us in the breaking of bread and the sharing of a meal
He is alive
Hope bursts through the door, light floods through the window
He turns the impossible into the possible
He comforts us in our sorrow and brings us into joy
He helps us in our despair and shows us there is hope.
He turns the fear of death into the joy of eternal life,
with him who declares ‘I am God and I am alive’.
Hope bursts through the door, light floods through the window.
He is alive.

Some of our Churches have reopened their doors and the details are within the Diary. Please follow the guidance of your Church Stewards, remember to wear your masks and keep a safe distance – ‘Hands, Face, Space’. Unfortunately, you will still not be able to sing.
If anyone has any questions or just needs to talk please contact your Minister or one of the Church or Circuit Leadership Team. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Thank you for your support and prayers over this last week. I will be on leave until 23 April as Barry recuperates.
I wish you a blessed Easter Time.
